This is a condensed set of 100 images as an example of what I captured for Cory Talaska in Atlanta. Cory was my primary ProSpec Client of the weekend, and obviously won the event, thus completing the most battles, giving me the opportunity to capture more moments than a typical weekend.
I have an approach that includes covering the human element, the pit space, the team's work on the car, dramatic driving shots, detailed and stylistic elements.
Typically, for a non-podium finish, I return 40-75 photos for a client, with a mix of what you see here. As a client advances, I take the opportunity to increase my angles and styles of shots to cover their entire weekend's story in detail. I consistently cover their team, partners, sponsors, details, and their driving.
I make an effort to cover as many aspects of the driving as possible, including things like: burnout box, leaving the start line, various zones of the track, showing fans' excitement for the driving, and the human element of the team and the driver. I typically spend at least one practice session in the pits and burnout box, and spend other sessions of practice and competition moving around throughout the venue to provide detailed and diverse coverage of the team's weekend..
